Capture Ltd are delighted to sponsor BAPLA Connect, a “new international networking event”, taking place virtually between 7-8 October 2021.
Founded in 1975, BAPLA (The British Association of Picture Libraries and Agencies) is the UK’s largest trade association for image suppliers. BAPLA represents over 100 image licensors, incorporating a board and diverse membership of sole traders, major stock, production and news agencies, SMEs, cultural heritage institutions, and technology companies.
BAPLA provides an essential gateway to access members that supply and license a substantial percentage of images seen every day in print and digital – combined BAPLA members have over 1 billion images available to license.
About the Event
The event will run across two days, with slightly different focuses. Day 1, is aimed at agencies and suppliers, and Day 2, described by BAPLA as a “marketplace for agencies”, facilitates the meeting with picture researchers, buyers and editors.
Across both days are engaging panel sessions, inspiring keynotes, and the opportunity to meet and network with fellow attendees through breakout rooms.
Day tickets are free to BAPLA Members – registration information can be found on their website.
On Day 1 (Thursday 7 October), Capture will introduce through a short presentation the closing panel session, titled: “What Next for the Industry? A Discussion with Trade Association Representatives”, which features speakers from CEPIC (Coordination of European Picture Agencies Stock, Press and Heritage), DMLA (Digital Media Licensing Association) and BAPLA.
Furthermore, we have breakout rooms on both days (15:00-16:30BST), in which we’d encourage attendees to visit us. We’ll be running talks about our experience in the industry, our technology platform, and our professional services.
Make sure you stop by and say hello!
